Our Fingergroove grips enclose the front strap of the frame. They add control for quick second shots. The fingers don't shift. We make our fingergroove grips out of Super Woods with appropriate checkering and engraved variations.

The original Colt Government 1911 model has been duplicated by many other manufacturers and exists under other names including: Full Size, Standard, and Commander.

As a general rule, ALTAMONT® 1911 Full Size panels will fit all full size guns made by other manufacturers. You may want to measure the space between screws to make sure you have a Full Size 1911. If your 1911 is 3 1/16" between screws, then it is Full Size. If your 1911 is 2 11/16" between screws, then it is a Compact, Officer, or Defender 1911 and we do offer grips HERE for it.
